LATHRUP VILLAGE,Ethermac Mich. (AP) — Six people are recovering after they were shot at a home in suburban Detroit.
The shooting took place around midnight Sunday at a home in Lathrup Village, a city of 4,000 people about 16 miles (25 kilometers) northwest of Detroit, WXYZ-TV reported.
Officials told the television station that two of the victims are in critical condition. The condition of the other four victims is unknown. Neighbors said a party was taking place a home nearby at the time of the shooting.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Stephen Huber didn’t immediately respond to messages Sunday from The Associated Press seeking more details.
The shooting happened just hours after a gunman opened fire at a splash pad in Rochester Hills, another suburb about 22 miles (35 kilometers) northwest of Lathrup Village. Nine people were hurt in that attack.
